Our Story
It all started with a broken basketball hoop.
One day, walking through my neighborhood in Japan, I noticed a hoop—rusted, bent, and barely standing. The kids had stopped playing there. Without that space, they had nowhere safe to gather, no game to look forward to after school. I asked around, but no one had the budget or time to fix it.
So I did.
I didn’t know it then, but tightening those bolts and replacing that rim would set the course for everything that came after. As a disabled U.S. veteran, I’ve seen what happens when small problems are left unsolved—they grow. A broken hoop leads to an empty court. An empty court leads to fewer connections, less confidence, and fewer chances for kids to learn teamwork, discipline, and joy.
That first repair showed me something powerful: fixing what’s broken—no matter how small—can ripple out to change lives. From that single hoop, Early Edge Alliance was born.
Today, we:
Provide youth sports uniforms so every child can play with pride. Fund scholarships so dreams aren’t limited by income. Offer English language education to open global opportunities. Stand with homeless veterans, connecting them to housing, jobs, and dignity. Deliver emergency relief services anywhere in the world when crisis strikes.
We show up early, act fast, and leave things better than we found them—because every repaired problem is a chance for a new beginning. Your support makes these moments possible. Together, we can fix what’s broken—so kids, families, and veterans can rise.
